Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: 20 August 2026

Our commitment

Croston Landscape Services is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are accessible:

  • All images have descriptive alternative text
  • The website can be navigated using a keyboard. Focusable elements have visible focus indicators
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Colour contrast between text and backgrounds meets WCAG 2.1 AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Scroll-driven animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion browser setting. Users who have enabled this will see a calm, static version of the page
  • The custom compass cursor (desktop only) activates only after mouse movement is detected. Keyboard-only users and screen reader users are not affected.
  • The contact form is labelled correctly and keyboard-operable
  • The page uses semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, nav, footer, section)

Known limitations

  • The gallery lightbox (photo viewer) currently supports keyboard navigation via arrow keys and Escape, but some screen reader experiences may not be optimal. We will continue to improve this.
  • The horizontal review carousel is drag-to-scroll on desktop. Alternative access via keyboard scrolling or the Facebook link provided is available.

Technical information

This website is built with React and uses server-side rendering. It has been tested in current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge on desktop, and in Chrome and Safari on iOS and Android.

We have not yet carried out a formal third-party accessibility audit. This is planned for review.
